Ambury Park Centre relies on the community for a large part of its funding. The school fees and riding fees paid by clients or supporting agencies contribute around a third of our income. Similarly, government grants supply about a third, so the board has to work hard to raise the further third needed to cover our costs.

We have been very grateful for major support from the ASB Community Trust and donors such as the J M Thompson Charitable Trust, Maurice Paykel Charitable Trust, Joyce Fisher Charitable Trust, Woolf Fisher Trust, P H Picot Charitable Trust and Mary Brook. We also receive substantial support from the various gaming trusts, a number of other funders, individual donors and horse sponsors. The Board regularly organises fund raising events.

For a list of generous individuals and organisations that have helped us each year please see the President’s Annual reports

The importance to us of the support and encouragement shown by organisations who donate cannot be overstated. We simply could not provide such quality programmes to those who most need it, if it were not for them and we thank them most sincerely.

Many individuals support the Centre's work either through volunteer work or by sponsoring a horse, which assists with their upkeep. If you would like us to contact you with information on volunteering at the Centre or sponsoring a horse, click here. The cost to fully sponsor a horse for a year is  $2,500.

Gifts or Bequests

Leaving a gift or bequest in your will is a wonderful way to help ensure that Ambury Park Centre and its horses can continue their therapeutic work in the future.  It is one of the easiest and most gratifying ways people can provide support to a cause close to their heart and a gift of any size is greatly appreciated.

Writing a will need not be complicated but we do advise you seek professional advice from a solicitor or other advisor to ensure your will is legal.  This helps avoid confusion over distribution of your assets and gives you peace of mind.

In the will, it is important that the full name of our charity is used 'Ambury Park Centre Incorporated' and to avoid confusion, our registered charity numberis CC23165.

The best way in which you can help us is by leaving a residuary legacy.   It can be either the full amount or a percentage of the remainder of your estate after catering for dependents and payment of debts. Such a gift, if made for 'general purposes' can be applied to any area of the charity's activities, however a gift can also be restricted to a specific area of work. If you are considering a gift to Ambury Park Centre, we would be happy to provide you with further information about ways in which you can provide support or keep you informed about our work.
